Comments:
This is a 70,000 mi. survivor that has been well maintained by its two previous owners.
It appears to have had one repaint several years ago & has very little in the way of rust or rust repair.
According to the previous owner it was sold & has been in Regina all its life.
Although it has been in Regina since 1969 I can't recall ever seeing it before I purchased it in June of 2010,
although several people have said they have seen it before.
I spent the next couple of months repairing several neglected items as it appeared to have been
in storage for some time (brakes, ignition, electrical & fuel pump/carb.) then driving it everywhere.
I plan to rebuild the drivetrain in the not to distant future to make the car more dependable/driveable/faster.
I would eventually like to rebuild the front & rear suspension although it handles pretty good for a 42 year old car.
Overall the car is in pretty nice condition compared to all the other junk that I had looked at when I decided
I needed a fix for my mid life crisis. I have had several 63-67 Fairlane/Rancheros in the past & that is what
I was looking for when I found my Falcon.
I'm all about the alternate body styles so this car works for me as I haven't seen another one like it at any
of the local car shows & can only remember a couple other cars around town. I'm surprised how many people don't
have a clue as to what kind of car it is.
1969 is the last year for the small body Falcon (in 1970 it was based on the Torino/Fairlane platform) & it is
the only year that the 302 was offered as an option.
The Falcon is a great addition to my family & I'm really glad that I have an old Ford to cruise around in again!
Here's to another 70,000 mi.
