Article 1 - Purpose
1.01 To provide those with an interest in Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln products a means of getting together with others who share the same interest.
1.02 Club activities will be open to all members in good standing.
1.03 All Club members are expected to participate in as many Club events as possible, this includes work duties for preparation of events as well as the events themselves.
Article 2 - Liability
2.01 All persons or Corporations extending credit to , contracting with, or having any claim against the Saskachewan Ford / Mercury Club for such payment of such contract of claim, damage judgment of decrees that may otherwise become due and payable to them from the Saskatchewan / Ford Mercury Club shall seek payment from the Saskatchewan / Ford Mercury Club, so that the members, the officers, past, present, or future shall not be personally liable therefore.
Article 3 - Bylaws
3.01 The following bylaws may be cited as the bylaws of the Saskatchewan Ford / Mercury Club.
Article 4 - Membership
4.01 Membership is open to anyone.
4.02
Membership fee will $30.00 annually per household due at the time of the Annual meeting.
4.03 Membership fees are due January 1 of each year.
Any new members joining the Club September 1 or later will pay the full $30.00 fee and their membership will be paid up to December 31 of the following year. (e.g. September 15, 1997 - December 31, 1998).
4.04 Any member wishing to leave the Club will forfeit paid dues for the remainder of the year.
4.05 An individual's membership may be revoked by a vote of the executive if the members conduct is deemed to be inappropriate, or detrimental to the Club. This notice will be sent to the individual in writing.
- The member has the right to appeal within 30 days of receiving notice.
- The appeal will be initiated by the individual and given to the President in writing.
- The members of the appeal committee will consist of;
- Immediate Past President
- Two other club members chosen by random draw.
- The appeal decision is binding
- Terminated membership must wait at least two years before they can reapply for membership. The member is then subject to a one year probation period.
4.06 A member shall be suspended for non-payment of dues after February 15th.
4.07 Upon payment of back dues for the calendar year, the member will automatically be re-instated. Failing this, a member must re-apply.
Article 5 - Meetings
5.01 Meetings will be open to all paid members.
5.02 Non-members may attend two meetings to find out about the club.
Subsequent attendance will not be allowed unless a membership is paid.
5.03 Meetings will be held monthly.
5.04 The annual general meeting will be held in January of each year, at a location to be decided upon by the executive.
5.05 Business meetings of the executive may be called when required by any Director, or by the written request of at least three members.
5.06 All votes at meetings will be decided by a show of hands, unless a ballot vote is requested by at least three members present at the meeting.
5.07 The bylaws may be amended only at the annual general meeting in January.
Article 6 - Directors
6.01 For any person to hold office, they must be a paid member.
6.02 The directors of the Club shall consist of:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary / Treasurer
- Event Coordinator
- Immediate Past President
This list will be the Executive Directors or "Executive"
6.03 Directors will be added as required.
6.04 A term of office will be for one year to a maximum term of two consecutive years.
A person in a Director's position may run for a third term if the majority of the members vote to accept the motion.
Article 7 - Financial
7.01 The fiscal year of the club shall end on the 31st day of December of each year.
Article 8 - Club Name and Logo
8.01 The name Saskatchewan Ford / Mercury Club is registered and is the property of the club.
8.02 Use of the Club name or logo is prohibited unless written consent is provided by the executive.
8.03 The use or sale of items using the club name or logo must be approved by the executive.
8.04 The Club requests that all Club apparel not be altered from its original form.
Article 9 - Club Events 9.01 Ford / Mercury Club held events (show and shines)
- only vehicles that have a Ford body and are currently equipped with a Ford drive train will be allowed.
- or a vehicle that does not have a Ford body but was originally and currently equipped with a Ford drive train (e.g. Sunbeam Tiger, Cobra) will be allowed.
Article 10 - Dissolution
10.01 In the event of dissolution of the club, its property and assets shall, after payment of all liabilities, be donated to a registered charity. |
